How to find your fare

Find your vehicle's rate group – it is set by length (under 8 metres = rate group 1).

AutoPASS discounts

Private customers with prepayment agreement: 50 %50% off the vehicle fare when you hold an AutoPASS prepayment agreement.

Agreement deposit – not the ticket price

This is the one-off amount you load when opening the 2026 prepayment agreement – it is not the price of a crossing. The amount depends on your vehicle's rate group.

Rate group 1 (0–8 m): 2 200 kr
Rate group 2 (8,01–17,50 m): 10 600 kr
Rate group 3 (over 17,51 m): 20 100 kr

How Norwegian coastal transport is priced

National-road and most county-road ferries use AutoPASS for ferry with a common rate regulation. Express boats are priced by the county authorities through their own ticketing systems. Commercial routes like the coastal voyage (Hurtigruten/Havila) set their own fares.

Exceptions: some connections in Trøndelag and the Moss–Horten crossing (Bastø Fosen) are outside AutoPASS for ferry and run their own schemes.
