Privacy policy

Short version: Havspor requires no login, sets no cookies of its own, and stores no personal data in databases of its own. Here is the full picture.

Data controller

The data controller for havspor.no is Oddworks AS (org. no. 997 031 881), Sigurd Jorsalfars veg 27D, 7052 Trondheim, Norway — email: post@oddworks.no.

Visitor analytics (Plausible)

We use Plausible Analytics to understand how the service is used. Plausible is cookie-free and stores no personal data — statistics are aggregated (page views, country, referrer) and can never be tied to you as an individual.

Ads (Google AdSense)

Havspor is funded by ads from Google AdSense. Visitors in the EEA first see a consent dialog from Google: you choose whether Google may use cookies for personalised ads. If you decline, non-personalised ads are shown. You can change your consent at any time — see the cookies page.

Contact and feedback

If you submit the contact form or feedback, the content (message, chosen topic, and email/name if you provide them) is sent to us as email. The email is delivered by our data processor Resend (email provider, USA — transfers covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) and lands in our inbox. Havspor has no user database of its own. The legal basis is legitimate interest (replying to you); the information is used only for that, is not shared with others, and is deleted once your enquiry is handled. The site is hosted on Vercel, which technically processes IP addresses to serve the pages.

Error logging (Sentry)

On technical errors, error reports stripped of user identifiers (error message, browser type, page) are sent to Sentry (EU region) so we can fix the problem. The reports are used for nothing else.

Location

The map can show your position if you explicitly allow it in your browser. Your position is used only locally in your browser to find the nearest quay — it is never sent to us.

The widget on other websites

The Havspor widget (embedded on third-party sites) loads no analytics, no ads and no consent tooling — it only fetches departure data.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase data we hold about you — in practice, emails you have sent us. Contact us at post@oddworks.no and we will sort it out. You may also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
